ETX Capital, one of the world’s foremost spread betting and CFD brokers, has followed in the footsteps of the market leaders, launching its own proprietary iPhone trading app to enable remote trading for its clients.
Established in 1965, London-based ETX Capital has launched the iPhone app at a time when the popularity of mobile trading is on the up, paving the way for new opportunities in the mobile trading sector amongst both new and existing trading clients.
The ETX Capital app is designed to leverage the growing demand amongst traders for mobile execution, with other industry players benefiting from a dramatic increase in volumes traded via their iPhone platforms over recent years.
Amongst some of the other notable brokers with iPhone trading apps are IG Markets, GFT and City Index, the latter seeing its trading app drive mobile orders to account for 15% of total revenue in 2010.
It is anticipated that while technological advancements in iPhone trading platforms increasingly continue to shape the market landscape, brokers like ETX responding relatively early to the market for mobile trading will be well positioned to attract new investment accounts as mobile trading becomes more widespread.
